I'm using AP-48EX, got it a few days after I bought my D90. Used to store those mini tapes video recordings from my dad's DV cam as well, old ones haha. Else easy to get attacked by fungus.

There has been a slight increase of price for all the AIPO dry cabinet..
This price increase is due to the increased in manufacturing costs and the addition of enhancement features in AIPO products, as listed below:

1. AIPO Digital ‘EX’ series will now come with LED lights to illuminate the
interior. A switch for the lights has also been incorporated (share with the UP
button). This will give AIPO ‘EX’ series a touch of its class.

2. The capacity of all AIPO dry cabinets had been increased and is now
designated by its model number. Eg. AP-38EX now comes with 38L instead
of 2-3 litres lesser previously.

3. For ease of control, the digital display for both AP-38EX and AP-48EX had
been relocated to allow setting the humidity without opening the door.

4. Paint finishes for all AIPO products is much better now. A coat of wax is
further applied to produce a luxury black result.

5. Due to feedbacks from consumers that metal trays scratched their precious
equipment, a durable plastic tray is offered in all AIPO.

6. The metal body for all AIPO is slightly thicker now.

Yes, all dry box has to be turned on 24hr. But don't worry, the consumption is not high.
