I'm Derrick Lim, just bought my first dslr 2~3 months ago. poisoned by my ex-colleague.

I'm from melaka but working in KL. would love to join kl outing if manage to do so Laughing

hi jonathan,

i'm red devil (by the way, i watched man utd rematch last night)... not yellow submarine... my definition, red devil is canon, yellow submarine is nikon...

what is evil what is bright? evil is canon or nikon?

hahahaha...

i'm using canon 500d, with sigma 24-70mm f2.8, my kit lens is sleeping in my dry box all the times...

yes jonathan, i know you guys are not forming group by the camera brands. some forums yes.

main thing is to share photos and skills

the game wasn't really nice, not full... and the crowd was not noisy enough too.

welcome derrick... don't be shame to hold a canon... it's good camera.. specially the 500D... make me wanna throw mine away when I heard they put HD in it with all the 50D function...

no shame lah, just that i personally like nikon and a friend is using d80. so i thought i would buy d90... but 500d got new engine and hd function. so i decided to buy 500d.

for me, no matter nikon, canon, olympus or any other brands, they are top brands with top PI.

a friend of mine, the one who poisoned me, is using sony a100, sony very first dslr. although the noisy is a bit high but he can still produce tip-top photos.

the skill does matter... not the camera.

the IQ is very very good for me, and sharpness is very good too, despite not wide enough as 500d is cropped camera. if you like manual focus, then this could be your choice as the focus ring is so huge and accurate, it becomes a joy.
100% can let you try try lah... hahahah
what lens are you using most of the time?

mine is non HSM. hahah, so everytime AF, you can hear ferrari F1 engine sound... hahahaha.
the sound is ok for me but indeed non hsm is a bit slow in AF. but then i found out MF is so enjoyable man...

friend, hsm version can buy 2pcs of this lens liao. hahaha

how is 18-200? aiyo should borrow from you for manutd game... 70mm not far enough...
