LOL, Jonker don't use so much light also ma anyways. But at least can turn off some of the lights not being used one. My friends were saying places like DPMM, their new building carpark all the lights turned on when it is not opened for public yet.

Re: [CY] Earth Hour 2010
This one, heavily cropped out. My lens not long enough. I think need something like maybe 600mm with 2xTC or more.
Long exposure no need lo, just meter nicely and take . If long exposure, you see the rest their pics, where they did long exposure for the buildings, the moon appear like a light source.

I think the most important thing is the len hv to be long enough then others should be the matter of focusing and correct exposure. I've done it with my Prosumer camera b4 - - Olympus SP570UZ

Re: [CY] Earth Hour 2010
Nice one Fred. Need really long lens for this to work out nicely.
Prosumers, some of them have like 400+mm max zoom. Slurp.

Re: [CY] Earth Hour 2010
Hehehe... yup yup ~ This one comes with a 20Xzoom which is about 300mm in olympus. Hehehe.... I really missed this camera tho~ Rarely hv a prosumer with this long range and even a build in wireless flash control...

Butta, you'll regret without the IS. IS the way to go! No IS really cham one.
Btw, if you're interested Goh is selling his 70-200 f/2.8L IS away.

Re: [CY] Earth Hour 2010
Totally agree with that... with a longer reach, IS is really important to avoid hand shake problems especially when shoooting under low light conditions.

Re: [CY] Earth Hour 2010
70-300 IS is totally different level against the 70-200 f/2.8L. Doesn't even come close to it in the optics and built.
He's letting go at RM6200, cause he's trading in to the shop at that price la. That lens is really new.. I think 3-4 months only.

Re: [CY] Earth Hour 2010
Butta, really need the IS. No IS no point. If really tight, can opt for the 70-200 f/4L IS. Nick might be letting go .

Re: [CY] Earth Hour 2010
f/2.8 and f/4 differences? f/2.8 is a faster and more bokeh, not to mention bigger and heavier. (and pricier).
