actually u can try holding your flashgun and use commander mode to get special lighting effect. hehe give it a try next time~~~

this photo is good for viewing, but its hard for us to know what are you going to tell from the photo. So from my opinion, you can actually shoot from side, focus on a mask and bokeh the rest. Razz

I experienced that before, usually it happens on 3rd party lens. To rectify it, turn off your camera then detach and attach back the lens.

50mm f/1.4 AiS? That one doesn't have aperture data on the EXIF if not mistaken. The 50mm f/1.2 AiS don't have it as well.

Composition is good in my opinion, but HDR doesn't seem to be working well here.
