HDR works best when there is a huge gap between highlights and shadows. It will give the picture the most impact. For those pictures without huge gap between highlights and shadows, no point actually.

CY : i just use the preset from Kevin Wong ...and lower the exposure ....

Good idea to shoot but the background too complicated. Next time just focus on 1 object and simplify the background~~~(hehe thats my opinion)
