i suppose the diff is the APO? it must b some technology developed by sigma to make the lens somewhat better. u can try google on the APO though. n i dont suppose this is a dedicated macro lens. dedicated macro lens is 1:1 ratio, this might be 2:1 ratio i suppose. its a zoom lens with means of macro capabilities.
