If you use a Canon DSLR camera and have been thinking it would be cool to step into the world of 3D photography, Loreo has your lens. The new lens is surprisingly cheap and available on Amazon.com right now.
How cheap you ask? The Stereo Lens-in-a-cap sells for $165. The maker says that most Canon DSLR cameras are compatible. The big downside is the lens is really weird looking.
The lens has a single connection to the DSLR and has two lenses on the front. When you snap a picture, the two images taken are overlaid and can be viewed in 3D using the Loreo 3D photo viewer. You can also convert the images into other 3D formats.

Technical Details

3 3D Viewers are included. The NEW Stereo Lens-In-A-Cap is a 40 mm, f11 f22, 2 element lens in a break resistant polymer composite housing. Made for APS-C format subframe digital SLR sensors (22-24mm) x (14.5-16mm). The Lens features a twin blade diaphragm with 3 stop aperture settings: f11, f16, f22, and a continuous focusing slider from 1.5m to infinity.

The stereo base is 90mm between the two light paths. Up front, each lens portal is threaded for 58mm filters with a maximum outer diameter of 86mm. The minimum rear lens diameter is 44mm, suitable for wide angle and tele converters.

While the aperture setting and focus setting on the NEW LIC has improved, the monumentally improved features are the wider stereo base and the capacity for filter attachment; now it is so easy to attach and use circular polarizing filters on your stereo image maker.

Canon EOS D30, D60, 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, Rebel 300D, 350D, 400D, 450D, 500D, 550D 1000D, 7D (Canon EOS mount) - Most Canon SLR cameras work with the Loreo 3D lenses in auto-metering mode, but exposure bias should be set to -1.5 or -2. The 300D has flash exposure bias disabled, but it is known that people have found ways to re-enable it.
