Maybe if you find a crappy condition D3 might be able to get at 7-8k. 9-10k is good condition D3.

Full frame or Crop is not the problem... my 550D's ISO i really cant tahan edi
at Night can say 75% cant focus at all

desmond, try to use your flash... like the 580EXII is integrated with IR to help you focus.. you can get 95% accuracy with no light..
and i really do think 1 spot point is sufficient most of the time. try it out before spending bunch of unnecessary money if you're not going to upgrade to full frame. and if you upgrade to full frame 8-10k is not sufficient.. lens will cost you more...
