Help on Product Shooting (lighting)
heya guys, was wondering if anyone could help me out withsome questiones about product shoot lighting. i usully use natural or window lighting so i have no idea whatsoever about studio and artificial lighting...i havent even used the speedlight since i bought it. I've been thrown the ball to take pictures of our company's product for our upcoming online shopping website. our products are mainly business wear and some casuals for menswear.
So far i have decided that i should get a soft light box (click to see) to take pictures of the folded business shirts and the rest will probably be with a (non-)model with head cut off. Others i might wanna try taking them laid flat.
Currently my biggest questions lies with what lights to buy and how to difuse them when i use them for model shooting (i know its some umbrella thing but is there any simple set up that comes together so i can put on and take off easily). read online about several different lights like tungsten, flood light, boom light, etc.....whats the difference??!! i need a cheap and simple set up as we dont have space and it has to be kept n set up each time used. would buying cheap stand lamps from ikea work? or something along those lights...not necessarily expensive studio equipment?
Oh n heres the killer part =.= he wants me to do the shooting with a point n shoot Fujifilm Finepix F200EXR. Super amazing isnt it...i mentioned 'u throw peanuts and u get monkeys' but he doenst seem to get it so whatever =.= help? anyone? before i hang myself with my camera strap. (i am NOT gona use my own camera for the shooting coz i wont be compensated for the shutter counts incured or dameges that might happen)

he agree to get the khul lite and EZcube thingy from the website max provided. as for camera he said wait till stuff arrive then try with my cam n his PNS to see if the difference is significant enough once uploaded to shopping site. if its worth the difference he said ok.

after he sees, he will buy a dslr to shoot...then you keep the camera... happy ending... hehe...
yeah, as avex said, buy white table lamps enough (make sure you get the bright ones), and buy a few pieces of white fabric to DIY for your softbox...
