Bags for DSLR
Hi guys! I noticed that backpack bags are quite common among those who brought their gears to the gathering in Melaka this week.
Can you guys tell me what model it is, price (location where you bought it) and your review on it? Thinking to get a backpack type of bag .

Mine is a lowepro computrekker AW. Cost me RM500++ from overseas. Shashinki is selling RM800++
The compartment can hold 2 large bodies with lens attached + 2 regular lenses + a speedlight + a 15" laptop + tripod

Lowerpro a lot of models, see until blur. I see that Fastpack 250 is quite a popular model, RM390 for it. But then george's RM350 like more worth than the Fastpack 250, can hold more gears.

Pro Roller x-Series, upcoming new line from Lowerpro. Looks like the Think Tank Airport series to me.
Most interesting feature, "tripod" function!
More information can be obtained here, http://www.lowepro.com/prorollerx

Re: Bags for DSLR
The bag can detach to become a backpack if I'm not mistaken. One of the pictures shows that. A bit like tortoise coming out from the shell .
This kinda bag more for people who travel and bring a lot of equipment along. Built tough to withstand the rough way luggage are being handled at airport I guess.

Re: Bags for DSLR
My current backpack is KATA DR-467
Find me a backpack that can
1. Fit my 15" notebook together with mouse and power adapters
2. Fit my DSLR with vertical grip mounted with sigma 70-200 F2.8
3. Fit my tamron 17-50mm F2.8
4. Fit my sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6
5. Fit my HVL-F58AM Flash
6. Fit my HVL-F42AM Flash as backup when F58AM overheats
7. Fit my small umbrella (laugh la.... thats what I bring all the time)
8. Hold either a tripod or monopod - big ones
9. Budget, less than RM500
10. And the most important thing, doesn't give me back pain when carrying all those
11. Doesn't look bulky like lowepro computrekker aw. I thought of getting this, but the bulkiness doesn't look inviting
Has to be backpack, to ease the load on my shoulders
Currently with my kata, I must not bring notebook and sigma 10-20mm in order to have no back pain
If need to bring notebook, then no 70-200mm
My main issue is back pain
I like the looks of lowepro fast pack 350, but it can't hold a tripod/monopod. I also like lowepro flipside, but can't hold notebook...

Re: Bags for DSLR
You might want to look at Crumpler's backpack. I tested on one of them, pretty comfortable I would say.
