Sony Alpha-1R 34MP

According to quite reliable source, Sony is going to launch Sony Alpha 1
Just like Sony Ericsson P series smartphone from P800 to P1i

Specs will be
34MP Super HAD II CCD sensor (yes, it is CCD not CMOS)

3fps... because size too big
0.90 viewfinder
100% liveview tilt LCD 920k color 3inch
ISO 25-3200 only (i love this ISO25, it is so rare now)
Full Frame
Dual CF slot (my another dream comes true)

34MP - that should give you more MB (megabyte) per shot, less space per card, more waiting time to open one photo in Photoshop and more space to backup photos. For those of you shooting RAW, my deepest condolences to you

Reason why it's not a CCD is because of marketing strategy - if they give you the highest of technology today you won't buy it because competition is still tight among higher MP DSLRs, not whether it's CCD or CMOS. Consumers are more willing to invest into higher MPs rather than sensor type.

Reason why it's 3fps is also the same, marketing. Technology today can give you higher fps with higher MP, but how much are consumers willing to pay for it? No companies want to be so high up there without competition as well, because they would be shooting themselves in the foot.

Live View is pretty useless, at least for me. ISO 25 is definitely an advantage but you will definitely loose colour saturation at that level, it's natural. Full frame is definitely another bonus but the best is still the dual CF slot ... can you imagine a 32GB + 32GB inside? Damn!

dual CF is a need for me... a nightmare unless i reduce the file size internally.

Thing is ... how much kaolat are you willing to pay? If I come up with one DSLR that only a handful in Malaysia is willing to invest, I die lor. People like Canon/Nikon/Sony is all into making money, not investing into higher technology without returns. They invest millions into R&D each year but can only sell you in thousands ... how?
