First of all, your budget? It'll make it easier for us to recommend .
But so far, the common models here is the Nikon D90.

Yes...YenChie. budget is one of the most important factor in deciding which DSLR u r getting.
Another factor is that do you prefer those lighter or heavier body DSLR?
But end of the day, after comparing the price and quality of the pics, you need to get a feel on the camera itself...whether the body grip, feeling, looks 7 shutter sound suits ur taste.....coz in my opinion you'll be facing ur camera everyday. So if something that you dont like bout ur camera....you wont be happy taking picture

ya, look at ur budget, ur need and feel the camera urself..
after all, the brand is just the technology...ur photography needs mostly rely on the skills and how u can maximize the potential of the tool...
feel the camera first from photonians' and check the grip and the feel...as photonians here have almost all the brands and models...

Just teasing you la, don't angry kay .
After surfing around, seems that D90 in Singapore is going for about $1550 or so... In that case Canon 500D / Nikon D5000 would be either choices to fit into the budget.yenchie88 wrote:thanks for advices from everyone=)My budget should be not more than $1300..I am in Singapore most of the time,so can't join the gathering=(I hope to join you guys one day~
