The photo looks soft to me? Weird, I thought the SP90 is a sharp lens.

those photo are not soft, just that DOF is too thin so you have a feeling of it is soft

I thought usually for macro the aperture is closed so the DOF is enough? Meaning in these photo the dof is not sufficient? Pretty different from the other output from SP90 I've seen definitely.

normally i used F16....may be the angle problem ...using SP90 shoot 1:1, on D90 only can get 1.28mm DOF....

2*aperture*Circle of Confusion*(Magnification+1/Magnification^2)
=2*16*0.020*(2/1)
=1.28mm

cy u usually see those enough DOF images i think they stacking the image...ah ngao maybe u can try stack ur image
