Hi everyone,

I'm using D60 with my kits lens now and i'm interested in getting a new telephoto lens & flash. I'm planning to get either Nikkor 55-200mm or nikkor 55-300mm, Nissin di622 mark ii or SB600. Any suggestion?

It is best if you state your budget, then we can recommend accordingly Smile

If budget is no issue, go for 55-300 and SB600.

thanks cy. since i'm still a students, i don't plan to invest to much yet.. i have read some reviews comparing SB600 and Nissin di622 mark ii. some said nissin is better. which makes me confuse which to get. cause the lens i got for the 55-200 and 55-300 is diff by 2 hundred only

Go for 55-300 as it got metal mount and better built..For flash if budget is very tight go for Nissin622 mark2 or SB700 since sb600 have been discontinued...

i can still get SB600 i think. but i didn't ask the price. the best price i got for nissin 622 is RM450. anyway, is the flash stable ar? heard tons of complain about the mark i one =)

JiaLin, the SB600 has more features compared to 622. The 622 TTL isn't that accurate as compared to SB600. However the 622 is value for money Smile.

For the lens, the 55-300 is a newer lens. You can consider it.

so if for normal usage, is 622 good enough? will conside 55-300mm anyway, any other lens for recommendation?

Zoom lens that's about it, unless you want to take a look at the 70-300 Nikkor or maybe the new Tamron 70300 VC which is said doing quite well.
