Re: Question oh Question
DSLR like ar?
my first camera in 2005 is (yes is, still having it and still using it - bring along to work) the panasonic dmc-fz3
DSLR like?
Hmm...
3.2 MP
35mm to 420mm (12x optical zoom)
Image stabilization
F2.8 constant in all zoom range
PSAM mode (yeah, got manual mode)
macro mode
of course cannot change lens la.... but, if I want to do macro, I use closeup filter (using +1, +2 +4 closeup filter). Can put UV filter and CPL filter
my old photos using this cam here... well some of it

full new battery, I think I burst (continuous shot)to 1k photos before. Of course at that time memory card is 512mb only. Need to change card or bring portable hdd
of course continuous shot is without flash...
with flash and normal shooting 500-700 photos
Re: Question oh Question
wow...nice tele and also batt consumption is considerable!! Did u use tripod for tele shots?by the way,u have great chances of taking so many models pics hehehe...so envy u,some are dam sexy ..wow...
Re: Question oh Question
that tele? nope, just hand held
got image stabilization, so no worries
and at 1/500s.... need tripod meh?

Re: Question oh Question
james,
maybe my reply is a bit too late already... hahaha
i once considered buying nikon P90 before my friend poisoned me with his photos taken by dslr... i tried it in law yat... very nice travel cam... but the problem is the noise level when you zoom up to tele range... as well as low light, the bulky pixels are a bit too obvious...
i tried panasonic's semi-pro, don't remember the zoom range... love its colour but noise level is quite obvious too...

Re: Question oh Question
yes, noise level on small camera is obvious because of the sensor size, nothing can be help. Panasonic is quite well known for their noise level because Panasonic prefers sharper photos compared to cleaner photos, which is why you are getting Leica lens from Panasonic
Having a small camera is not to have good quality photos, it is having a camera handy when you want to capture a moment. Imagine a moment or something happened, and you need a cam... you don't have one because not many people can bring DSLR to work or normal walk. (of course handphone camera can help, but not many handphone camera can zoom zomm )
Having a smaller cam is handy, which is what I'm doing now, bring my old cam to work everyday, never lose an opportunity for photos.

Re: Question oh Question
yes chong, i agree with you.
i have lumix fx-01... the colour and sharpness are good. so i rarely zoom, so that i get the best photos it can produce...
